APPLICATION OF 2D-FINITE VOLUME CODE FLATMODEL TO
LANDSLIDE RUNOUT BENCHMARKING EXERCISES

The present paper summarizes the main results obtained from the Landslide Runout Analysis Benchmarking Exercise organized during the International Forum on
Landslide Disaster Management. We applied the 2D-finite volume code FLATModel to different cases including two validation cases and several real debris flows that recently
occurred in Hong Kong. The results show that FLATModel represents an accurate and user-friendly tool to correctly simulate such complex phenomena.
